NiSource (NYSE: NI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.77, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.75.

• Reported on a GAAP basis, net income for the three months ended March 31, 2018 of $276.1 million, or $0.82 per share, compared to $211.3 million, or $0.65 per share, for the same period of 2017.
• Reported net operating earnings (non-GAAP) of $259.7 million, or $0.77 per share, for the three months ended March 31, 2018, compared to $230.6 million, or $0.71 per share, for the same period of 2017.
