RPM International (NYSE: RPM) reported Q1 EPS of $0.74, $0.08 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.82. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.24 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.27 billion.
RPM International sees FY2015 EPS of $2.50, versus the consensus of $2.56. The company commented, Although consumer segment sales were down for the quarter, we believe the sales shortfall will be picked up over the next three quarters, and expect sales to grow 5% to 7% for the balance of fiscal 2016. Specialty segment sales, excluding acquisitions, are expected to grow in the low-to-mid-single-digits in local currencies, all of which will be offset by negative currency translation.
