Summit Midstream Corporation (NYSE: SMC) has made a final investment decision on a mainline compression expansion for its Double E Pipeline, supported by a new long-term firm transportation agreement with an investment-grade shipper, according to a company statement.

The expansion involves installing a bi-directional mainline compressor station that will increase the pipeline's forward haul capacity to the Waha Hub in Texas by approximately 900 MMcf/d. The project is expected to cost approximately $100 million, net to Summit's 70% ownership interest in the Double E joint venture, with an anticipated in-service date in the fourth quarter of 2028. Investing.com -- ExxonMobil awarded approximately $1.1 billion in pre-investment contracts for upstream equipment related to the Rovuma LNG Phase 1 project in Cabo Delgado, the company said Monday.

The U.S. oil company issued the contracts on behalf of Area 4 partners, which include Mozambique's Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos, China National Petroleum Corp, Italy's Eni (BIT:ENI), Korea Gas Corp and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co's XRG.

The contracts cover subsea production systems, large-bore production valves and offshore line pipe. The awards aim to advance the project toward a final investment decision.

TD Cowen analyst Jason Gabelman raised the price target on ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM) to $168.00 (from $155.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.

The analyst comments "XOM missed on weaker refining results, though we see it benefiting from 3Q refining strength. The company is evaluating developing a 9th FPSO in Guyana, while it guided to 100kbd lower production q/q due to moving from cost to profit oil. It suggested it will naturally diversify lng exposure from ME with organic projects, downplaying need for M&A. Increase PT to $168."
