Bulldog Investors, LLP, a shareholder of XAI Floating Rate & Alternative Income Trust (NYSE: XFLT) holding 310,000 shares, said it plans to vote in favor of a proposed new sub-advisory agreement with Rockford Tower Asset Management, L.L.C. at XFLT's special shareholder meeting scheduled for July 30, 2026.

XFLT board approves tender offer plan pending shareholder vote

XAI Floating Rate & Alternative Income Trust (NYSE: XFLT) announced that its Board of Trustees has approved a liquidity plan consisting of an initial tender offer and two potential subsequent tender offers, contingent on shareholder approval of a proposed sub-advisory agreement with Rockford Tower Asset Management, L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of King Street Capital Management, L.P.

The initial tender offer would allow the fund to repurchase up to 12.5% of outstanding common shares at 98% of net asset value (NAV) on the offer's expiration date, with the offer expected to commence approximately 45 days after shareholder approval of the King
