Bernstein named its top pick among online travel agencies heading into second-quarter earnings in a recent note, citing insulation from AI disruption and the strongest expected growth momentum.

Analyst Richard Clarke revealed that Airbnb (NASDAQ: ABNB) is the firm’s preferred name.

Despite pessimistic guidance from OTAs following Middle East conflict concerns, Bernstein said Q2 traffic data points to a strong demand quarter, with the firm expecting "low-single-digit room night beats from all" and estimates running 2-4% ahead of consensus EBITDA.

Bernstein noted all major OTAs grew web traffic in the low-double-digits, with app traffic remaining robust in the high-single-digits for most.

Investing.com -- BTIG downgraded TripAdvisor to Neutral from Buy, warning that the travel platform faces mounting risks from artificial intelligence, weakening traffic trends and limited prospects for further strategic value creation after agreeing to sell TheFork.

The brokerage argued that TripAdvisor is increasingly exposed to AI-driven changes in online travel discovery, with AI-powered search summaries and "zero-click" search reducing traffic to its core Tripadvisor-branded sites. BTIG said the company's top-of-funnel positioning leaves it vulnerable as major technology platforms gain a larger role in travel planning, creating pressure on its legacy metasearch business and, indirectly, its Experiences segment.
