Smith-Midland Corporation (NASDAQ: SMID) has secured a $2.2 million contract to manufacture and supply precast concrete products for a new operations and office facility at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, Virginia, according to a company press release.

The contract covers the production of SlenderWall architectural precast panels, architectural precast components, and precast stair systems. The panels will feature a custom color design and an acid-etched architectural surface. Smith-Midland will also manufacture precast stair towers and stair risers for the project.

Smith-Midland Corporation (NASDAQ: SMID) has been awarded a $2.2 million contract to manufacture and supply its SlenderWall architectural precast wall system for a new U.S. Coast Guard Clinic and Visitors Center in Charleston, South Carolina, according to a company press release.

The project will feature SlenderWall panels fabricated with white and gray architectural concrete and finished with an acid-etched surface. Production is scheduled to begin at Smith-Midland's Virginia manufacturing facility in April 2027, with installation set to begin in November 2027.
