Perpetua Resources gets $40M U.S. Army grant for tungsten work

Perpetua Resources Corp. (Nasdaq: PPTA, TSX: PPTA) has received an award of up to $40 million through the U.S. Army's Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC) to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of producing tungsten concentrate at the Stibnite Mining District in Idaho.

The 36-month, cost-share program requires Perpetua to match the U.S. Army's $40 million contribution. The initial 18-month phase is expected to cost approximately $18 million, split equally between the company and the Army. Subsequent phases are subject to results and incremental funding approvals, with no assurance that additional funding beyond the first phase will be approved.
