Jefferies analyst David Hayes upgraded Nestle SA (NESN:SW) (OTC: NSRGY) from Hold to Buy with a price target of CHF99.00 (from CHF84.00).

The analyst comments: “Recent struggles date back to decisions in 2022. Vol/mix was zealously supported in FY22/23, to give credibility to claims that LFL sales in 2020/21 were not boosted by COVID. That led to pricing under-recovery, offset by dramatic cuts in brand investment. That created unique challenges for 2023/25. These are fading, alongside an improving environment for categories like Pet & Coffee. Upgrade to Buy, with an expected re-rate towards 20x NTM P/E, vs 18.4x today.

Investing.com -- Former Nestle SA chief executive Laurent Freixe is seeking to recover a bonus and unvested shares that were taken from him after his September dismissal over an undisclosed relationship with a subordinate, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

Freixe, 64, is reportedly in pre-litigation settlement talks with the Swiss food company where he worked for 39 years. He argues his dismissal unfairly harmed his reputation and earning potential. Freixe wants his pro-rata bonus for the months he worked in 2025 paid and the return of three years of unvested shares that were forfeited upon his termination.
