Nidec sues former executives over damages claim

Nidec Corporation (OTC US: NJDCY) has decided to file a lawsuit for damages against several former executives, according to a company statement.

The decision follows an investigation report issued by the company's Executive Responsibility Investigation Committee on October 16, 2026. The named defendants include six former directors: Shigenobu Nagamori, Hiroshi Kobe, Akira Sato, Hiroyuki Yoshimoto, Jun Seki, and Mitsuya Kishida. Two former corporate auditors, Kazuya Murakami and Hiroyuki Ochiai, are also named. A former vice president who served as chief financial officer between May 2022 and March 2026 is additionally included in the suit.
