iMetal Resources, Inc. (TSXV: IMR) (OTCQB: IMRFF) has appointed Michel Dufresne, a veteran mining executive, to its board of directors, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.

Dufresne was nominated by McFarlane Lake Mining Limited (CSE: MLM) in connection with its recent investment in iMetal, which made it the company's largest shareholder.

Dufresne's career includes serving as Vice President of Projects at Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., where he directed exploration and feasibility initiatives in South Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. iMetal Resources Inc. (TSXV: IMR, OTCQB: IMRFF) has appointed Paul Larkin as an independent director and Robert Scott as chief financial officer, according to a company statement.

Larkin fills the board seat vacated by Scott Davis, who resigned to focus on other matters. Davis will remain with the company in an advisory capacity.
