Genmab and AbbVie say epcoritamab trial missed U.S. survival goal

Genmab A/S (Nasdaq: GMAB) and AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) have clarified that overall survival was the sole U.S. primary endpoint in the Phase 3 EPCORE DLBCL-1 trial evaluating epcoritamab, and that the study did not meet that endpoint.

The companies issued the clarification on July 23, 2026, following topline results announced on January 16, 2026, and additional data presented at the European Hematology Association Congress on June 12, 2026.

The analyst commented: "We have conviction Epkinly, Rina-S & peto will offset the $3.6B Darzalex patent cliff. Our stat analysis suggests Epkinly's Ph3 in 1L DLBCL should succeed and look better than POLARIX. Rina-S is ahead in development in POC. Peto could differentiate w/efficacy in HPV+ HNSCC. Genmab A/S (Nasdaq: GMAB) reported that worldwide net trade sales of DARZALEX (daratumumab) totaled $4,207 million in the second quarter of 2026, according to figures reported by Johnson & Johnson.

U.S. net trade sales reached $2,435 million, while sales in the rest of the world totaled $1,772 million. The figures include sales of the subcutaneous formulation, daratumumab and hyaluronidase-fihj, marketed in the U.S. under the tradename DARZALEX FASPRO.
