Stage 2 Geophysical Program Identifies Multiple Exploration Targets in Attic Zone at Giga Metals' Turnagain Project

(Newsfile Corp. - October 8, 2026) - Giga Metals Corp. (TSXV: GIGA) (OTCQB: GIGGF) (FSE: BRR2) is pleased to announce the initial results from the recently completed Stage 2 geophysics program focused on the Attic Zone area of Giga's 100% owned Turnagain project in British Columbia. The most recent program is part of a systematic exploration approach at Turnagain designed to identify and rank targets beneath a 3 square kilometre copper-in-soils anomaly in the Attic Zone. The Magnetotelluric (MT) and HeliSAM surveys were completed by Dias Geophysical and interpreted by Matthew Penney of Hardrock Geophysics.

Giga Metals to buy back Mitsubishi's 15% stake in Turnagain project

Giga Metals Corp. (TSX-V: GIGA; OTCQB: GIGGF; FSE: BRR2) announced that Mitsubishi Corp. has elected to exercise its put right under the Turnagain Joint Venture agreement, agreeing to sell its approximate 15% interest in the project back to Giga Metals for nominal consideration. The transaction is expected to close on or around October 12, 2026, giving Giga Metals 100% ownership of the Turnagain Project in northern British Columbia.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Giga Metals Corp. (TSX-V: GIGA; OTCQB: GIGGF; FSE: BRR2) (“Giga Metals” or the “Company”) today announced that effective September 28, 2026, and subject to the provisions of the Turnagain Joint Venture agreement dated August 15, 2022, Mitsubishi Corp ("Mitsubishi") has elected to exercise its Put Right ("the Put") and has agreed to sell its approximate 15% in the Turnagain Joint Venture back to Giga for nominal consideration.
