WHEATON, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- First Trust Advisors L.P. (“FTA”) announced today the results of the special meeting of shareholders of First Trust Senior Floating Rate Income Fund II (NYSE: FCT) (the “Fund”) held on June 25, 2026.

Shareholders of FCT, a diversified, closed-end management investment company organized as a Massachusetts business trust, have approved the reorganization of FCT with and into First Trust Flexible Income ETF, a newly formed series of First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VIII (“FFLX”). Subject to the satisfaction of certain customary closing conditions, the reorganization of FCT into FFLX is expected to close on August 10,

WHEATON, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- First Trust Senior Floating Rate Income Fund II (the "Fund") (NYSE: FCT) has decreased its regularly scheduled monthly common share distribution to $0.0813 per share from $0.097 per share. The distribution will be payable on July 15, 2026, to shareholders of record as of July 1, 2026. The ex-dividend date is expected to be July 1, 2026.
