UBS analyst Josh Silverstein lowered the price target on Diamondback Energy (NASDAQ: FANG) to $243.00 (from $246.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.

The analyst commented, "We expect a strong 2Q26 update from FANG, with total/oil production coming in above the midpt of the guide and our CFPS forecast 2% above Street. We continue to see FANG as well positioned to take advantage of the stronger crude oil price environment. From an operational perspective, we see FANG remaining committed to the "green light" activity framework, and continuing ahead with Barnett delineation. We see this resulting in 2% production

Viper Energy closes Riverbend mineral acquisition for $337M and stock

Viper Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: VNOM), a subsidiary of Diamondback Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FANG), has completed its acquisition of all equity interests in Riverbend Oil & Gas IX, L.L.C., an entity holding certain mineral and royalty interests.

The transaction was valued at $337 million in cash and approximately 3.7 million shares of Viper's Class A common stock, par value $0.000001 per share, subject to customary post-closing adjustments. The sellers were Riverbend Oil & Gas IX (AIV), L.L.C. and ROG IX, L.L.C.

Viper funded the cash portion of the deal using a combination of cash on hand and borrowings under its existing credit facility.
