Edgewise Therapeutics (Nasdaq: EWTX) announced the dosing of the first patient in EQUINOX-HFpEF, a Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating EDG-15400 in adults with symptomatic heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) who have a left ventricular ejection fraction of at least 50%.

EDG-15400 is an investigational oral cardiac sarcomere modulator that has shown improvements in diastolic function in preclinical models. The trial is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study designed to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of the drug.

Edgewise Therapeutics (Nasdaq: EWTX) released preclinical pharmacologic data on EDG-7500, an investigational oral cardiac sarcomere modulator targeting the Regulatory Light Chain (RLC), according to a company statement dated Sept. 22, 2026.

The company said preclinical models showed EDG-7500 improved cardiac relaxation while preserving systolic function and cardiac reserve.
