BC court voids Helix Resources joint venture on Gold Basin property

The Supreme Court of British Columbia issued an order on October 9, 2026, declaring a joint venture agreement between Gold Basin Resources Corporation and Helix Resources Ltd. set aside and unenforceable, according to a statement from CANEX Metals Inc. (TSXV: CANX).

The court ruled that Helix has no interest or rights in the Gold Basin Property, located in Mohave County, Arizona. The order also requires Helix to pay the costs of the petition to Gold Basin Resources Corporation.

CANEX Metals raises C$6.5M, with C$3M from largest shareholder

CANEX Metals Inc. (TSXV: CANX) announced a C$6.5 million non-brokered private placement financing, with N. Eric Fier, the company's largest shareholder, contributing C$3 million of the total raise.

The financing consists of up to 14,285,714 common shares at C$0.35 per share for proceeds of up to C$5 million, and up to 2,777,778 Charity Flow-Through shares at C$0.54 per share for proceeds of up to C$1.5 million. Securities issued will be subject to a hold period of four months plus one day from closing. The financing is subject to TSX Venture Exchange and regulatory approval.
