CAE and Leonardo sign deal to expand M-346 pilot training systems

CAE (NYSE: CAE) and Leonardo announced a collaboration agreement to advance the M-346 Integrated Training System (ITS) and develop next-generation fighter pilot training capabilities, according to a press release issued July 22, 2026, at the Farnborough Airshow in England.

The agreement expands their existing partnership into Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) and Live Synthetic Integration (LSI) environments. The two companies will work on a joint technology roadmap that includes development of the M-346 ITS Block 20 system features, with the stated aim of preparing pilots for AI-enabled systems and autonomous mission environments.

CAE and Saab sign MoU for Gripen training support in Canada

CAE (NYSE: CAE) and Saab have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on training, simulation, and mission support capabilities for the Gripen fighter aircraft in Canada, contingent on the Canadian government selecting the Gripen as part of its future fighter fleet.

Under the proposed arrangement, CAE would establish and operate a Canadian-based training ecosystem covering pilot and technician training, simulator operations, and sustainment services. The two companies would also explore mission systems development and sustainment opportunities in Canada.
