BitGo and OTC Markets plan digital asset alliance for broker-dealers

BitGo Holdings (NYSE: BTGO) and OTC Markets Group (OTCQX: OTCM) announced their intention to pursue a strategic alliance aimed at bringing digital asset trading and custody infrastructure to broker-dealers that use OTC Link ATS, an SEC-regulated alternative trading system.

Under the proposed framework, subscribed broker-dealers would be able to quote, price, and execute trades in digital asset securities on the same electronic trading infrastructure they currently use for NMS and OTC equities markets. The connection would be powered by MatchHub, Elysium's post-trade platform, which links OTC Link ATS to digital asset custodians and helps subscribers coordinate transactions through settlement.

BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association, an OCC-regulated digital asset trust bank and subsidiary of BitGo Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BTGO), announced it will provide qualified custody and off-exchange settlement services for USDM1, a USD-denominated secured sovereign bond issued natively onchain by the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

USDM1 is structured as a fully collateralized bond under New York law, backed 1:1 by U.S. Treasuries. It is available on the Stellar, Ethereum, and Solana blockchain networks. The bond is designed to accrue value daily, with mint and redemption activity executed against live signed price quotes.

BitGo Prime adds Virtu Financial to its liquidity network

BitGo Prime, LLC, a subsidiary of BitGo Holdings (NYSE: BTGO), announced the addition of Virtu Financial (NASDAQ: VIRT) to its global liquidity network for digital asset markets.

BitGo Prime said the partnership is intended to expand liquidity access and execution quality for institutional clients through its single-platform trading service.
