Brera Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: BREA) announced it will begin trading under the ticker symbol SLMT on October 3, 2025, reflecting its transition from a football club holding company to a Solana-based cryptocurrency infrastructure business. The company plans to change its name to Solmate.

The Ireland-based company operates from Abu Dhabi and is building dedicated servers to run Solana network validators directly, rather than outsourcing staking operations to third parties. Marco Santori, CEO of the renamed entity, said the company aims to generate more Solana tokens per share through this infrastructure approach.

New York, NY, Sept. 23, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brera Holdings PLC (Brera Holdings) (Nasdaq: BREA) today announced the successful closing of its previously announced private investment in public equity (“PIPE”) offering of securities. The PIPE, sponsored by UAE-based technology and blockchain advisory firm Pulsar Group, with backers including RockawayX, Ark Invest and UAE investors, was oversubscribed and generated gross proceeds of ~USD $300 million. To reflect the company’s new focus on the Solana ecosystem, Brera Holdings intends to change its name to Solmate, with BREA shares continuing to trade on Nasdaq under a new ticker symbol.

Brera Holdings secures $300 million funding to transform into Solana treasury

Brera Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: BREA) announced it will transform into Solmate, a Solana-based digital asset treasury company, following a $300 million private investment in public equity offering. The investment was sponsored by UAE-based Pulsar Group with backing from ARK Invest, RockawayX, and the Solana Foundation.

Marco Santori, former Kraken Chief Legal Officer, will serve as CEO of the renamed company. The board will include economist Dr. Arthur Laffer and RockawayX CEO Viktor Fischer, with the Solana Foundation holding rights to appoint two additional board seats.

The company plans to accumulate and stake Solana tokens while developing cryptocurrency infrastructure projects in the UAE.
