Boliden's mining concession for Laver maintained as appeals rejected

STOCKHOLM, Aug. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the Swedish government announced that it had rejected the two appeals against Boliden's mining concession for Laver, granted in September 2025 by Sweden's Chief Mining Inspector, which includes the right to extract copper, gold, silver and molybdenum.

Boliden confirms talks with Votorantim over Nexa Resources stake

Boliden AB (Stockholm: BOL) has confirmed it is in discussions with Nexa Resources and Votorantim, the majority owner of Nexa Resources, regarding a potential acquisition of Votorantim's shares in Nexa Resources.

The Swedish mining company issued a statement on July 2, 2026, in response to market speculation about a possible transaction. Boliden stated there is no certainty that any deal will be completed, nor what the terms of any such transaction would be.

The company said further announcements will be made if and when appropriate. The disclosure was made pursuant to the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
