BAE Systems wins $137 million U.S. Army contract for missile warning systems

BAE Systems (LON: BA) received Foreign Military Sales contracts valued at $137 million from the U.S. Army to deliver AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning Systems to allied nations, according to a company statement.

The CMWS detects infrared and radio-frequency guided missiles, unguided munitions, and other threats while automatically providing warnings and countermeasures in real time. The system is installed on more than 40 types of rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft worldwide.

With the new contract, CMWS will protect aircraft fleets of more than 20 nations. BAE Systems has delivered more than 3,000 CMWS units globally.

BAE Systems secures $215 million in defense contracts

Investing.com -- BAE Systems has been awarded two defense contracts totaling approximately $215 million for military vehicle production and fighter jet equipment.

The U.S. Department of War granted BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P. a $198.4 million fixed-price-incentive modification to an existing contract for Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles. The modification supports the purchase of 240 vehicles to prevent a production break, bringing the total contract value to nearly $2.48 billion.

Work on the armored vehicles will be performed at the company's York, Pennsylvania facility with completion expected by May 31, 2028. The Army Contracting Command at Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, is overseeing the contract,

BAE Systems (LON: BA) received a $390 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to produce additional Bradley A4 Fighting Vehicles, according to a company statement.

The contract covers the upgrade of Bradley Fighting Vehicles to the A4 configuration, which the company describes as a replacement for earlier variants. The Bradley A4 features digitized electronics, network connectivity and communication capabilities designed for Armored Brigade Combat Teams.

BAE Systems (LON: BA) delivered the first three BvS10 armored personnel carriers to Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom during a ceremonial event at its Hägglunds facility in Sweden on September 17.

The vehicles represent the initial deliveries under a joint procurement framework agreement for 663 BvS10 Collaborative All-Terrain Vehicles. Under separate purchase order agreements, Sweden will receive 236 vehicles, the United Kingdom 60, and Germany 140 by 2028.

Germany has contracted an additional 227 vehicles under the same framework, bringing the total procurement to 663 vehicles across the participating nations.
