PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ASA Gold and Precious Metals Limited (the “Company”) (NYSE: ASA) declared a distribution of $0.05 per common share of the Company. The distribution is payable on November 12, 2026 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on November 5, 2026.

ASA Gold and Precious Metals Limited (NYSE: ASA) said its board of directors has unanimously approved a proposal to convert the company from a closed-end investment company focused on gold and precious metals into a business development company (BDC) with a credit-focused, yield-oriented strategy.

As part of the conversion, the board voted to redomicile the company from Bermuda to Delaware and selected Saba Capital Management, L.P. as the new investment manager. The company also expects to change its U.S. federal income tax status from a passive foreign investment company to a regulated investment company.
