SHANGHAI, Aug. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Yum China Holdings, Inc. (the "Company" or "Yum China") (NYSE: YUMC and HKEX: 9987) today announced the opening of the 300th Pizza Hut Burger Bar in China. Since launching its first Burger Bar in late 2025, Pizza Hut China has been rapidly scaling this new side-by-side module, opening more than one location per day on average.

Yum China Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: YUMC, HKEX: 9987) has completed the acquisition of the Pizza Hut brand in Mainland China from Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) for $1.2 billion, according to a company statement.

The deal, first announced on June 16, 2026, eliminates a 3% license fee previously paid to Yum! Brands, which the company said is expected to add 2.8% to Pizza Hut's restaurant and operating profit margins, net of VAT.

Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) has completed the sale of its Pizza Hut business in Mainland China to Yum China Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: YUMC; HKEX: 9987) for $1.2 billion, according to a company statement.

The transaction is one part of two previously announced agreements to sell the Pizza Hut brand for a combined $2.7 billion, subject to certain purchase price adjustments. The second agreement, covering the Pizza Hut business outside of Mainland China, is set to close with LongRange Capital this month, pending customary closing conditions and required regulatory approvals.
