The firm was founded in 1999 by its three Senior Principals, Lief Rosenblatt, Gabe Nechamkin and Mark Sonnino, who have been partners for over twenty years. Prior to starting Satellite, the three Principals worked together at Soros Fund Management from 1988 through early 1999. Satellite’s major investment components consist of three strategies: event-driven, credit and hedged equities.
