Mark Haines is popular news anchor on business cable network CNBC. Haines is one of the longest-running anchors on the network, having joined CNBC in 1989. Haines holds a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar.
Haines made an amazing market bottom call on March 10, 2009 with the Dow at 6732 and in free-fall from the 2008 Great Recession. It is being called the "Haines Bottom" and has held up strongly so far, with the Dow up nearly 20% since then.
