Kenneth C. Griffin founded Chicago-based hedge fund Citadel Investment Group in 1990 after learning to trade from his Harvard dorm room. Griffin has built Citadel into one of the world's largest hedge funds with $15 billion in assets and average annual returns around 20%.
In 2007, Griffin was named #117 on the Forbes' 400 list with an estimated net worth of $3 billion.
In recent years Griffin's Citadel has been actively pursuing distressed assets.
Griffin is married to Anne Dias. He is involved in many philanthropic efforts and collects art.
