Workiva unveils AI agent platform and new regulatory tools
Workiva Inc. (NYSE: WK) announced a set of new artificial intelligence-driven product capabilities at its annual Amplify 2026 conference in Las Vegas, including a no-code platform called Agent Studio that allows users to build and deploy AI agents within the company's existing software environment.
Agent Studio enables users to automate business processes by combining AI reasoning with Workiva's workflows and enterprise data, without requiring programming skills. Organizations can configure agents with company-specific information and schedule them to handle recurring tasks.
"With Agent Studio, we're putting the power to build in the hands of the people who know the work and their company the best," said Julie Iskow, CEO of Workiva. "What matters is whether your outcomes are traceable, defensible, and can hold up in front of investors and regulators."
Workiva also announced three new agentic solutions aimed at expanding its regulatory reporting coverage. The tools target historically manual disclosure processes, including Bureau of Economic Analysis surveys, U.S. Census surveys, and Country-by-Country Reporting, allowing finance and accounting teams to manage these obligations within the same platform.
A separate agentic solution for internal audit and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) was also introduced. The tool automates evidence collection, sample selection, attribute testing, and documentation, with the stated goal of expanding audit sampling capacity without increasing manual workload.
Keri Tracy, Chief Audit Executive of Newell Brands, commented on the broader shift: "As AI takes on more work, it frees audit professionals to focus on higher-value judgment, interpretation, and risk management."
According to the company, more than 6,700 organizations use the Workiva platform, including over 85% of Fortune 1,000 companies. The announcements were made at Amplify 2026, Workiva's annual conference attended by finance, accounting, sustainability, risk, and compliance professionals.
