PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) announced that Fisica Applied Technologies, Inc., a defense contractor specializing in airborne and ground-based antennas, electromagnetic systems, and ruggedized batteries, has selected PTC's Creo computer-aided design (CAD) and Windchill product lifecycle management (PLM) software for use across its engineering operations.

Fisica Applied Technologies was formed through the merger of three antenna system providers following a spinoff from L3Harris. The company will deploy Creo and Windchill across four business units and multiple locations to support design consistency, configuration control, and traceability for its defense programs.

"Standardization was essential as we brought together multiple organizations and engineering teams," said Adam Erskine, Vice President of Business Development at Fisica Applied Technologies. "Building on technology with which our teams worked well allowed us to move quickly, collaborate effectively, and maintain confidence in our data and processes from day one."

According to the announcement, aligning CAD and PLM tools on a common platform is intended to create a unified engineering environment supporting both near-term operational needs and long-term growth. The information is based on a press release issued by PTC.
