Grab Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRAB) has agreed to acquire a 60% majority stake in Singapore-based buy-now-pay-later platform Atome Financial for $1.49 billion, according to a statement from the company.

The deal is structured as an acquisition from Atome's parent, Advance Intelligence Group, and certain other parties. Atome offers flexible payment solutions to consumers at online and offline retailers across categories including fashion, beauty, lifestyle, travel, fitness, and homeware.

Following the acquisition, Grab said it now expects to grow its loan book to over $6 billion by 2028, up from a previous target of more than $3 billion by the end of this year.

Atome reported revenue of $470 million in 2025, representing an 80% increase, and achieved its second consecutive annual profit before taxes.

The ride-hailing and delivery company has made several acquisitions in recent periods. Earlier this year, Grab purchased U.S.-based Stash Financial Inc. at an enterprise value of $425 million and acquired meal-delivery firm Foodpanda's Taiwan operations from Delivery Hero SE for $600 million.
