Amazon's unable to restore access to AWS facility in Bahrain damaged by war
Investing.com -- Amazon Web Services announced on Tuesday that it cannot restore access to its cloud-computing facility in Bahrain and one of three data hosting zones in the United Arab Emirates after damage occurred during the Iran war.
The cloud computing unit of Amazon) said the damage in Bahrain affected multiple availability zones, which are clusters of one or more data centers located in the same geographic region.
AWS stated in a status update that the damage to its infrastructure spanned multiple availability zones and exceeded the capacity that its regional and multi-availability zone services are designed to withstand.
The company said it is supporting Bahrain customers to re-establish their operations in other regions.
