September 14, 2026 4:58 PM

Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. (NYSE: HOS) announced that its subsidiary Helix Well Ops (U.K.) Limited has secured a multi-year decommissioning contract with an undisclosed operator in the North Sea, according to a company press release.

The contract is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027 and carries a firm duration of two years, with options for the customer to extend beyond that period.

Under the agreement, Hornbeck will conduct riserless plug and abandonment operations using either the Well Enhancer or Seawell, both purpose-built riserless well intervention vessels. The scope of work includes a well access system known as a Subsea Intervention Lubricator, remotely operated vehicles, saturation diving, and project management and engineering services.

Todd M. Hornbeck, President and CEO, said, "This new multi-year award builds directly on Hornbeck's previous success and strengthens our expertise in delivering safe, efficient, rigless decommissioning solutions in the North Sea."

Hornbeck Offshore is headquartered in Houston and Covington, Louisiana, and provides marine and subsea services to the offshore oilfield, defense, and renewables industries.
