Boot Barn reports 2% same-store sales growth, eyes high end of guidance
Boot Barn Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) announced it will participate in two investor conferences in September, while its chief executive offered an update on second-quarter sales performance.
Chief Executive Officer John Hazen said same-store sales grew 2% in fiscal August and that growth has continued at the same pace through the first three weeks of fiscal September. He said the improvement since fiscal July has been broad-based across most major merchandise categories.
"Based on our quarter-to-date performance, we expect second quarter same-store sales to finish within our previously provided guidance range, while the strength of our new stores is expected to drive second quarter sales to the high end of our guidance range," Hazen said. "We also expect earnings per share to be at the high end of our previously provided guidance range."
The company said it will participate in the Goldman Sachs Global Consumer and Retail Conference on September 15, with a fireside chat webcast at 10:45 a.m. Eastern Time, and the Piper Sandler Growth Frontiers Conference on September 16, with a fireside chat webcast at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
Boot Barn operates 577 stores across 49 states, according to the press release.
