Kennametal named official tooling supplier for NASCAR
Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT) announced it has been named the Official Tooling Supplier of NASCAR, a designation unveiled at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2026 in Chicago on Sept. 14.
Under the partnership, Kennametal will supply metal cutting solutions and application expertise to support NASCAR's manufacturing operations. The announcement was made by Dave Bersaglini, Kennametal Vice President and President of Metal Cutting, at the company's exhibit during the show.
"Every thousandth of an inch matters in NASCAR, and that's exactly the kind of precision Kennametal brings to its customers," Bersaglini said.
The formal supplier designation follows a period of existing collaboration. Kennametal joined the NASCAR Competition Partner Program in 2023, and since then its application engineers have maintained a presence at NASCAR's Research & Development Center in Concord, North Carolina, supporting tooling evaluation and machining strategy development.
Bob Duvall, NASCAR's Competition Partnerships & Contingency Managing Director, said the arrangement provides more direct access to tooling expertise. "Before this partnership, finding the right tooling often meant searching for solutions and hoping we'd made the right choice," Duvall said. "Today, we have direct access to Kennametal's expertise, helping us identify the right tooling the first time."
Kennametal reported $2.4 billion in revenues in fiscal 2026 and employs approximately 8,100 people across nearly 100 countries. IMTS 2026 runs Sept. 14–19 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
