Ainos receives initial orders for AI Nose in semiconductor manufacturing

September 14, 2026 8:01 AM

Ainos, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIMD, NASDAQ: AIMDW) announced it is receiving initial commercial orders for its second-generation AI Nose platform from a front-end semiconductor manufacturer, following a validation program involving approximately 200 systems deployed earlier in 2026.

The company launched the second-generation AI Nose platform in August 2026, with upgrades to software, firmware, edge AI, hardware reliability, modular design, over-the-air capabilities, and fleet management. The platform is designed for continuous operation in industrial environments.

Ainos also reported that its proprietary real-world chemical dataset has surpassed 1 billion records, up from approximately 878 million records reported in August 2026. The dataset is generated by physical AI Nose systems operating in real-world environments rather than collected from the internet or simulation.

The AI Nose system digitizes chemical signals into machine-readable data, which Ainos describes as adding a chemical perception layer to industrial monitoring setups. The company states the technology is intended to complement, not replace, existing vision and audio sensing systems.

"The move from validation into commercial deployment is an important milestone. It shows that our Chemical Intelligence strategy is beginning to translate into commercial adoption while supporting our broader strategy to drive revenue opportunities beginning in the second half of 2026 and beyond," said Eddy Tsai, Chairman, President and CEO of Ainos.

The company said it is deploying AI Nose across both front-end wafer fabrication and back-end semiconductor packaging and testing. Ainos indicated it expects revenue-generation opportunities to begin in the second half of 2026.
