UiPath (NYSE: PATH) announced that PLDT, a Philippine telecommunications company, has deployed automation and AI tools from the UiPath Platform across several internal operations, according to a press release from UiPath.

PLDT implemented three AI-driven tools. The first, called KAI (Knowledge, Automation, Intelligence), converts a manual research process that previously took up to five days into responses delivered in one to three seconds. The company said KAI reduces an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 hours of manual effort annually and generates roughly 12 full-time-employee-equivalent productivity capacity.

The second tool, called Ellie (Enablement and Intelligence Engine), functions as an internal digital assistant. PLDT said Ellie reduces manual effort by 25% to 35%, saves an estimated 18,000 to 25,000 hours annually, and enables up to 80% faster customer response times.

The third tool, ERICA (Enterprise Risk Intelligence Companion Agent), was deployed in February 2026 to handle annual risk reviews. PLDT said ERICA reduces the time required for complex risk evaluations from two to ten days down to five minutes to one day, cutting manual effort by 97% to 99%.

"At PLDT, we are committed to harnessing technology to better serve our customers and support the country's growing digital needs," said Gilbert Gaw, PLDT and Smart First Vice President and Head of IT and Transformation Office.

Karl Crowther, Area Vice President for Middle East, Africa, and South Asia at UiPath, said leveraging the UiPath Platform allowed PLDT to transform enterprise knowledge into actionable intelligence, enabling teams to resolve issues more efficiently and make faster decisions.
