Virtus Investment Partners AUM dips to $147.5B in August
Virtus Investment Partners (NYSE: VRTS) reported preliminary assets under management (AUM) of $147.5 billion as of August 31, 2026, down from $148.9 billion at the end of July, according to a company press release.
Total client assets, including other fee-earning assets of $1.7 billion, stood at $149.2 billion.
The month-over-month decline was driven by net outflows in institutional accounts, retail separate accounts, U.S. retail funds, and global funds. Those outflows were partially offset by market performance and positive net flows in exchange-traded funds and tender offer funds.
By product type, open-end funds totaled $51.3 billion, up slightly from $51.2 billion in July. Closed-end funds fell to $13.1 billion from $13.2 billion. Retail separate accounts declined to $34.1 billion from $34.7 billion, and institutional accounts dropped to $49.0 billion from $49.7 billion.
By asset class, equity AUM fell to $64.8 billion from $66.1 billion. Fixed income edged up to $40.2 billion from $40.1 billion. Multi-asset holdings declined slightly to $22.8 billion, and alternatives slipped to $19.7 billion from $19.8 billion.
