Aurora Mobile Limited (NASDAQ: JG) announced that its JPush push notification service has been integrated into Bank of Hangzhou's mobile banking application, according to a company press release dated Sept. 11, 2026.

The integration connects Bank of Hangzhou's mobile app to multiple system-level push channels, including Aurora Mobile's own channels as well as third-party services such as FCM, APNs, and manufacturer-specific channels from Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Meizu, and ASUS. The solution supports Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, QuickApp, and Web platforms.

The arrangement is intended to address a common technical challenge in mobile banking: when apps are running in the background or placed in a sleep state by a device's power-saving mechanisms, transaction notifications can be delayed or blocked. By routing notifications through native operating system channels via standardized APIs, JPush aims to deliver high-priority financial alerts even when the banking app is not actively running.

On the security side, Aurora Mobile states that JPush functions strictly as a messaging channel, delivering encrypted instructions without parsing or accessing underlying banking data. The company says the architecture follows data minimization principles and applies encryption throughout transmission, in line with financial regulatory requirements in China.

The partnership also shifts the maintenance burden of managing multiple manufacturer push interfaces away from Bank of Hangzhou's internal technology team. Through a unified SDK, Aurora Mobile handles ongoing compatibility updates across device brands and operating systems.
