Workday names Sarah Kennedy Ellis as chief marketing officer
Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) has named Sarah Kennedy Ellis as chief marketing officer, effective October 5, 2026. She will report to Aneel Bhusri, co-founder, CEO, and chair of the Pleasanton, California-based company.
Kennedy Ellis joins Workday from Google, where she led global marketing for Google Cloud and Google Workspace. Before Google, she served as chief marketing officer of Adobe Experience Cloud and chief marketing officer of Marketo, a role she held during Marketo's acquisition by Adobe in 2018.
In her new role, Kennedy Ellis will oversee Workday's global marketing and communications organization. She brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to the position.
"She's driven growth at scale for some of the biggest technology companies in the world, and has spent the last decade at the center of enterprise AI," Bhusri said in a statement.
"I am incredibly honored to join Workday at such a pivotal moment for enterprises and the humans that power them," Kennedy Ellis said.
