T. Rowe Price expands use of Anthropic's Claude in investment process
T. Rowe Price (NASDAQ: TROW) and Anthropic announced an expansion of Anthropic's Claude AI model across T. Rowe Price's investment organization, according to a press release issued Sept. 10, 2026.
Portfolio managers and analysts at the Baltimore-based firm will use Claude and Claude Cowork to support research and synthesis of complex information. The firm's developers will use Claude Code to build and improve investment and operational tools.
The deployment falls under an AI leadership model T. Rowe Price announced in August, which places AI leaders within its Investments and Global Distribution divisions. T. Rowe Price Labs, the firm's internal AI innovation hub, is responsible for evaluating and scaling AI applications across the organization.
"Claude lets our investment professionals cover more ground and go deeper on what matters," said Eric Veiel, president, co-head of Global Investments, and chief investment officer at T. Rowe Price.
Ramon Richards, global head of Technology, Data, and Operations and chief technology officer at T. Rowe Price, said the effort is focused on "building new ways of working" with security controls in place.
T. Rowe Price manages $1.87 trillion in client assets as of July 31, 2026. The firm disclosed that its portfolios hold investments in Anthropic.
