Mercury Insurance Named One of America's Greatest Companies for 2026 by Newsweek
Four-star recognition underscores Mercury's strength across financial performance, innovation, workplace excellence and sustainability
Unlike a traditional numbered "Top 100" style ranking, America's Greatest Companies 2026 recognizes 650 U.S. companies that earned five-, 4.5- or four-star ratings. Mercury earned four stars based on its performance across the study's broad range of business and workplace measures.
"Great companies aren't built around a single strength. They endure because the pieces reinforce one another," said
Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group conducted the study using extensive employee research along with financial, innovation, sustainability and third-party performance data. The 2026 evaluation included more than 2.7 million company reviews from more than 179,000 employees collected between April and
The evaluation examined multiple dimensions of company performance. Financial measures included revenue growth, profitability, shareholder returns and investment in innovation. Employer performance considered factors such as company culture, compensation and benefits, job security and stability, training and career progression, working environment and work-life balance. Innovation was assessed using patent and research data, while sustainability performance incorporated independent third-party assessments.
The methodology also included SEC and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filings, third-party data and a review of public records and media coverage. Plant-A Insights Group and Newsweek's editorial team conducted final validation of the results before companies were selected for recognition.
Mercury's recognition as one of America's Greatest Companies 2026 adds to a growing list of independent honors for the company, providing further validation of Mercury's long-term financial strength, culture of innovation, strong workplace and commitment to delivering exceptional value and service to customers.
