September 10, 2026 7:59 AM

IceCure Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ: ICCM) announced it has received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to market its ProSense cryoablation system and associated cryoprobes in China, where it has been classified as a Class III medical device.

The Israel-based company develops liquid-nitrogen-based cryoablation systems that destroy tumors by freezing, targeting breast, kidney, bone, and lung cancers. The ProSense system is already marketed in the U.S., Europe, and parts of Asia.

"We are pleased to receive NMPA approval for ProSense in China, marking an important step in expanding access to IceCure's minimally invasive cryoablation technology," said Eyal Shamir, Chief Executive Officer of IceCure Medical. "The approval further strengthens our global regulatory position and expands the markets in which ProSense may be commercialized."

The NMPA approval allows IceCure to commercially market the ProSense system in China in accordance with the terms of the approved registration, according to a company press release.
