Beamr Imaging launches AI video upscaling advisory service

September 10, 2026 7:04 AM

Beamr Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: BMR) announced a new service called Beamr Blueprint Super Resolution, designed to help broadcasters and content owners evaluate and deploy AI-based video enhancement and upscaling technology.

According to the company, the service begins by mapping a customer's video delivery pipeline to identify where AI enhancement is applicable. Beamr's team then tests the customer's own footage against their quality standards and delivery budget, concluding with a deployment plan that includes settings and configurations for implementation. The service covers upscaling to 4K for both live distribution and archived content.

Beamr said it has active proofs of concept underway with unnamed media companies for super resolution deployment, and that those engagements identified common requirements around content suitability, pipeline fit, and cost feasibility.

The company said its Beamr VISTA tool accelerates subjective quality testing using tens to hundreds of viewers, with results delivered within days. Beamr said testing has confirmed that video upscaled from a 720p source to 4K using AI enhancement appears better to viewers than standard upscaling methods.

"The key deliverable of Beamr Blueprint is a decision," said Dani Megrelishvili, Beamr's chief product officer. "Blueprint is built on the customer's own content, run through their pipeline against their delivery economics and quality criteria, so the answer reflects how they actually operate."

Beamr plans to demonstrate live AI enhancement up to 4K at 60 frames per second at IBC 2026, scheduled for September 11–14.
