Babcock & Wilcox (NYSE: BW) announced it has received a limited notice to proceed (LNTP) on an approximately $130 million air quality control project for a U.S. coal-fired power plant.

Under the LNTP, the Akron, Ohio-based company will begin development, engineering, and long-lead procurement activities for the project. The work is intended to support continued power generation at the facility while helping it meet emissions reduction goals.

B&W's subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Construction Co., LLC, is expected to handle the construction and installation portion of the project.
