Rackspace Technology (NASDAQ: RXT) announced it has joined the Nvidia Cloud Partner Program (NCP), a move the company says will expand its ability to deliver and operate Nvidia accelerated computing for regulated enterprises and government customers.

As part of the partnership, Rackspace introduced its Institutional Sovereign Pod, an AI infrastructure architecture that combines Nvidia's Blackwell architecture with Palantir Foundry and AIP software. Rackspace will serve as the managed operator of the environment, handling infrastructure through production operations.

The company said the pod is designed to allow enterprises to deploy AI at scale while maintaining data residency, governance, security and compliance requirements. Rackspace will hold NCP competencies across Compute, Networking, Visualization and Nvidia Enterprise Software.

"Enterprise AI is becoming production infrastructure. At that point, the question is no longer simply who provides the GPU. It is who is accountable for operating the complete system," said Gajen Kandiah, Chief Executive Officer of Rackspace Technology.

Palantir's Head of US Commercial, Sameer Kirtane, said combining Palantir Foundry and AIP with Nvidia computing and Rackspace's managed infrastructure creates a foundation for organizations to move AI into production while maintaining governance and sovereignty.

Raj Mirpuri, vice president of global AI clouds and infrastructure ecosystem at Nvidia, said the companies can help organizations put AI into production securely and at scale.

The Institutional Sovereign Pod is also connected to a Sovereign AI supply chain solution announced separately by Nvidia and Palantir. Rackspace said it will provide forward-deployed engineering and managed operations for the environment.
