Evercore ISI Lists 5 Key Points About Arista Networks (ANET)

September 10, 2026 5:07 AM

Evercore ISI analyst Amit Daryanani reiterated an Outperform rating and $250.00 price target on Arista Networks (NYSE: ANET).

The analyst comments "Earlier today, Arista’s President, Ken Duda, hosted a webinar on modernizing networking security, alongside PANW’s (covered by Peter Levine) Chief Product and Technology Officer, Lee Klarich. Followed by a roundtable with the CISOs of ANET (Jason Bevis), Anthropic (Jason Clinton), and PANW (Marc Benoit). Key points: 1) EOS a Resiliency Leader: Arista’s EOS is built on a single code base which provides a common baseline for discovery and mitigation of vulnerabilities. Along with the separation of control and data-planes which isolate attacks and enable resiliency. ANET believes they can provide both security to the network but also leverage the network to provide security to the entire infrastructure. 2) Evolving Model Landscape: Open-source models are expected to reach similar capabilities to Mythos in ~3 months. The threat of attackers having these capabilities has accelerated enterprise security conversations with a focus on leveraging AI to respond to threats faster than any human can. 3) Unprecedented Volume of Vulnerabilities: Anthropic’s Glasswing published a report citing they found 23k vulnerabilities across open-source projects in one month, when combined with PANW’s findings it rises to 37k. The volume of vulnerabilities being exposed is unprecedented and outside the capabilities of only humans to address, requiring cyber security to be embedded with AI. 4) Containing Agents like Malware: A focus of the CISO roundtable was that agents to this point have been treated like apps, when they should more appropriately be viewed as internal threats when off guardrails. A zero-trust approach will be paramount in protecting networks from off rail agents. 5) Security + Networking Convergence: A clear theme was we are seeing the convergence and co-operation across the security + networking layer. ANET given their unique advantages, of EOS is positioned to become more integrated on the security side along with their core networking operations. Net/Net: We believe the evolution of AI models is leading to reevaluation of networking security, where ANET should be positioned as a leader given EOS and their networking portfolio’s security capabilities. We maintain our OP rating and $250 PT."
