GlobalFoundries (Nasdaq: GFS) and Monolithic Power Systems (Nasdaq: MPWR) announced a long-term manufacturing agreement on Sept. 9, 2026, that will deploy MPS's proprietary process technology at GlobalFoundries' 300mm fabrication facility in Singapore, with volume production expected to begin in early 2027.

Under the agreement, products manufactured at the Singapore facility are expected to include power solutions for automotive architectures, industrial robotics and automation, and power stages for AI and cloud infrastructure applications.

"Integrating MPS innovation with GF's manufacturing scale allows us to extend reach in high-growth electrification and AI markets with improved supply assurance," said Deming Xiao, EVP of global operations at MPS.

"This long-term agreement reflects the strength of GF's manufacturing platform and our ability to support customers as they scale innovative technologies into high-volume production," said Pradip Singh, chief manufacturing officer at GlobalFoundries.

MPS, founded in 1997, is a fabless semiconductor company that provides power electronics solutions for data center, automotive, consumer, and industrial markets. GlobalFoundries operates manufacturing facilities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
