Nano Nuclear Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NNE) has appointed Marilyn Diaz as Director of Fuel Facilities Operations, according to a company statement released Sept. 9, 2026.

Diaz joins the company after more than 17 years at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where she most recently served as Acting Deputy Division Director in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, overseeing a team of more than 60 engineers and scientists. She also previously served as Chief of Staff and Technical Assistant to NRC Commissioner Annie Caputo, advising on regulatory and policy matters related to advanced nuclear reactors and fusion technologies.

Earlier in her NRC career, Diaz held supervisory roles covering uranium conversion, enrichment, and fuel fabrication facilities, as well as nuclear material transportation systems. She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and an M.S. in Environmental Health Sciences and Policy from George Washington University.

In her new role, Diaz will oversee Nano Nuclear's expansion across the front end of the nuclear fuel cycle, with a focus on fuel conversion and de-conversion segments. She becomes the fourth former senior NRC employee to join the company.
