First Majestic reports new drill results at San Dimas mine in Mexico
First Majestic Silver Corp. (NYSE: AG, TSX: AG) reported drill results from its 2026 exploration program at its San Dimas Silver/Gold Mine in Durango, Mexico, according to a company press release.
The company said approximately 89,000 metres of exploration drilling had been completed year-to-date out of a planned approximately 117,000-metre program. Drilling focused on resource-conversion and resource-addition work across the West Block, Central Block, and Graben Block, along with follow-up drilling at the El Cristo mine area and target testing in the East/Arana Block.
Among the notable intercepts reported, drillhole ELI26X-10 at the Sinaloa-Elia vein complex returned 2,604 g/t silver and 43.08 g/t gold over a true width of 0.88 metres, for a silver-equivalent grade of 5,835 g/t. At the El Cristo mine area, drillhole LUZ26X-02 intersected 2,625 g/t silver and 58.25 g/t gold over 1.30 metres true width at the Luz vein, for a silver-equivalent of 6,994 g/t.
The company also reported results from the Convención vein, a structure it said was identified approximately 100 metres north of the existing Jessica vein. Initial drilling returned five significant intercepts in seven holes, with the target described as remaining open in multiple directions.
At the Coronado-Carmen Escobosa vein system in the West Block, the company said the Carmen Escobosa target remains open for approximately 400 metres to the west of the new intercepts.
CEO Keith Neumeyer stated: "The latest drill results have returned multiple high-grade silver and gold intercepts from both resource-conversion and resource-addition programs, reinforcing the near-mine growth potential of established vein systems while expanding the exploration footprint at Convención and El Cristo."
The technical information in the release was reviewed and approved by Gonzalo Mercado, P. Geo., the company's Vice-President of Exploration and Technical Services, acting as qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.
