Northrop Grumman wins $4.8bn Army countermeasure contract

Investing.com -- Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. received a $4.84 billion contract from the U.S. Army for full rate production of the Common Infrared Countermeasure system, the Department of Defense announced Tuesday.

The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract runs through Sept. 30, 2035. The Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based company was the sole bidder for the contract.

Work locations and funding will be determined with each order placed under the agreement. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama is managing the contract.
