September 8, 2026 5:05 PM

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE: EL) has appointed Brian Franz as Chief Technology & Transformation Officer and expanded Amber English's role to include Global Amazon Lead, according to a company statement. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Franz, who joined the company in April 2025, will take on enterprise-wide transformation responsibilities in addition to his existing oversight of the Technology, Data & Analytics function. His expanded role includes accelerating AI-enabled processes and leading the company's Enterprise Business Services program. Since joining, he has overseen a global partnership with Shopify to unify the company's omnichannel commerce operations and a partnership with Accenture aimed at standardizing shared services.

English, who joined in December 2021, will retain her title as President, Digital & Online, The Americas, while adding responsibility for the company's global Amazon business, which currently spans 13 brands across 11 markets. She will oversee global consumer experience, creator commerce, and cross-market best practice sharing.

English previously led the company's entry into Amazon Premium Beauty and TikTok Shop in the U.S. In fiscal 2026, online sales accounted for 34% of the company's reported net sales, up three percentage points from fiscal 2025. Online sales are defined as direct-to-consumer sales through brand websites, third-party platforms, and estimated sales through retailers' websites.

Both executives will continue to report to Stéphane de La Faverie, President and Chief Executive Officer, and remain members of the company's Executive Team.
